| I'll try to keep it brief. Making the move to make something of myself instead of screwing around any longer. But that's another story. I really just need some advice from those who have made moves with multiple vehicles on a budget. I have my '96 TT, a '00 Civic DD (in good shape), and 2 motorcycles. My plan is/was, to sell both cars (or trade them in) for a decent pickup (like a Tacoma), load the bikes in the bed and tow a trailer with my stuff in it from NY to LA. That plan made the most sense to me logistically. BUT...I see her sitting out there in the driveway, and my heart breaks. I really don't want to lose her. But I have to go. What would you do? What have you done? I am...well, let's say "underfunded" right now. I was doing pretty well at my last job, but it was going nowhere. I have a few grand saved up, but I'd like to say that advice like "ship all your cars and bikes there and fly and buy all new stuff when you get there" is a bit out of budget right now. Believe me, if I could do that, I would. I'm crashing with my family right now (moved out from my place in Philly) and plan to rent when I get there. Buying a home is not in the picture yet. Buying the truck seems to be a necessity because I can't afford to ship both bikes AND a car. I got a quote for shipping the Z and it was ~$1200. Not impossible...but I dunno. I'm open to anything.
